A last post

It has been some time since I last wrote here and that is because I have been preparing for my wedding. I'm getting married in September and the writing just hasn't been happening. I still want to write and perhaps one day I will have more time but for now this is me saying goodbye for now. I won't be posting but I may visit you from time to time.

I am alive. I know I have not been on here forever but I am alive. Work has taken over my life but I have one week off next weekand I am flying out to Spain with a friend. I'll fill you in when I get back. Bye for now.

Friday

I am soooo glad it is the weekend. Friday night. I am going out with a couple of friends to the cinema but we still haven't decided what to see. It will be a break from life. My writing is going sooo slowly at the moment I am embarrassed even to talk about it.

I sent off a few of my poems to a publisher and I am waiting to hear back but nothing has arrived yet. I will tell you when I hear anything.

I'm reading High Fidelity by Nick Hornby ten years after everyone else but I am reading it. I'll post again in three months???!! to let you all know my verdict.

It has been a very long time since I wrote anything here, but here I am again. I had a very busy summer as I went to Turkey and then Cyprus with friends. It was beautiful. Now I am back in Britain and back to work. Aaah.

My writing is just not happening but I just read some of another blogger's new book- Jude, the one she is writing at the moment and it has inspired me. You have to read it. It's called The View From My Window and I think it will be a best seller when it is published. You saw it first here!!!

Back again

It has been a very long time since I last posted a blog. Time flies. It is amazingly sunny here and I suppose what with work and writing and the sun, I've just been toooooooooooo busy.

I'm about half way through my short story The Dark which I hope to submit to an ezine I saw advertised on another blog link.

Things in the office are very busy and there's a lot of internal politics which is tiring and stressful. But I will survive.

New month, new post

I know I have been absent for a while but I dashed off to Sunny Spain for a week and now that it's a new month I thought I would christen a new post.

I am reading a book at the moment called Eve Green. It's a bit hard going in places but some of the passages are really beautiful. It won the Whitbread first novel award last year and was a Richard and Judy book.

Writing is slow. I'm still working on the Dark. Hope to get some done this week.

Holiday season

I have taken the day off today and I'm watching day time television and generally moping about. It's been a while since I gave myself a break so I've decide to book a holiday and go somewhere exotic. Well exoticish.

Any suggestions? I may go to Spain or the Canaries - just to relax. I will hopefully get some writing done too.

It may be a while before I post again.

Tired Again

I'm soooooooooooooo tired. I think I'm going to get repetitive strain injury from typing up long boring reports about the environment.I think I need a holiday. I'm happy that I've written one whole page of my story and it's started to get going, but I really need to give up this working. How can anyone do the two together- write and work? Madness.Holidays. Lastminute.com is great for these and I will have a look right now.That's it. Sorry. Tired.

I've been to a friend's for birthday drinks and am too tired to think, let alone write.

I'm in the middle of reading The Da Vinci Code. I thought it was about time I read it, seeing as everyone else has and I want to see the film when it comes out, so it will be a good comparison.

My story is on hold as things are a bit hectic just now. The Dark will have to wait.

I'm watching Mission Impossible ii at the moment, so I shall cut this off a bit abruptly and if you were wondering what JR meant it's just the abbreviation from my first and second names. Nothing to do with any horrible villains. Ahhahaha !!

I am an aspiring writer so rather than aspire I thought I would write and here I am. Today is sunny and that has inspired me to do a bit of writing. I'm working on a short story at the moment called The Dark. Usually I write pretty serious things- stories about people's situations and such.

I work as an administrator for the council the rest of the time and yawn yawn. That's enough of dull talk. I'll let you know how my story goes. I want to enter it into a competition. I just need to find out where there's one being held.
